The Sleep Lesson I Learned Too Late
The sleep lesson I learned too late
I used to think sleep was a passive act. Just something you “did.” Work hard, crash, repeat.
But a few years ago, I started tracking my inflammation levels and I recently discovered something startling, my body was in a chronic stress loop. Not from work or workouts. From poor sleep hygiene.
Blue light, late dinners, hyperstimulation… it was all aging me faster.
Now? I treat sleep like a therapy. No screens after 8pm. Red light filters. Magnesium and glycine. And a very strange but effective trick I learned from a biohacking retreat: I turned my iPhone screen permanently red.
My mood and recovery transformed. My inflammation markers starting to drop. But most importantly, I started waking up feeling… human.
We often obsess about productivity and performance, yet ignore the one thing that amplifies both: quality sleep.
What’s one unconventional habit that changed your sleep?
